Community-Based Coastal Emergency Training

A Program of Rincón Water Safety

Practical CPR, AED, and ocean safety training designed for real-world beach emergencies.

Puerto Rico’s first structured community-based ocean safety initiative.

Beach Guardians is Rincon Water Safety’s community-based training program designed to equip residents, surfers, hospitality teams, and visitors with the skills to recognize ocean hazards and respond effectively before professional help arrives.

In Puerto Rico, there is no formal open-water lifeguard system — and historically, there has never been an integrated aquatic safety infrastructure. For decades, beach safety has not been treated as a structured public system. Community preparedness saves lives.
